“Letting go helps us to to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance.”
~ Melody Beattie, The Language of Letting Go

The sky held an amazing array of colors this morning: From beautiful reds at dawn, to a golden harvest yellow at sunrise, to a gorgeous silvery blue as the sun rose above the clouds. As I watched this spectacular display by mother nature, I was also watching my cat Namaste, who was intent on watching something in the grass below the deck. read more

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
– Unknown

Hello friends! After an adventurous 2 month hiatus, I’m happy to report that I’m back in the saddle. No, I’ve not given up my morning blog, although I must confess at times, I had considered it. But to have awoken to this most gorgeous of morning skies, after a week or grey and rain, was truly inspiring. How can I not share it !! read more

“We seek peace, knowing that peace is the climate of freedom.”
~ Dwight D. Eisenhower

I had to chuckle. Clearly early this morning the Universe was calling out for peace. As you all know I don’t listen much to CNN, yet I still can’t seem to escape the news that we are considering entering into yet another war. How wonderful, though, that British citizens actually have a house of commons that reflects the desires of their people. If only the US will follow suit. read more

“The mind can weave itself warmly in the cocoon of its own thoughts, and dwell a hermit anywhere.”
~ James Russell Lowell

I tossed and turned most of the night, so was glad to finally get up and see this beautiful sunrise, peaking through a light morning mist – just enough to leave our thirsty plants happy 🙂

We’ve been doing a repair on our ceiling, and have some drywall down, along with the curtains in our bedroom. It’s amazing what the mind senses even when asleep. I’m just that uncomfortable with being out “in the open”. It’s like that with yoga too, I like my own little cocoon … read more

“It’s easy for me. If I find I have to work at it, I’ve got the wrong job. What I’m doing is channeling.”
~ Morgan Freeman (about his role as an actor)

Love the light rain shower this morning, as I shared the sunrise with one of my young villa guests. And so goes life. As I was talking about yesterday, sometimes when things appear the cloudiest, it’s a sign that it’s time to move on.

How does this relate to the Morgan Freeman quote you may wonder. Some days when I write, I may have a particular theme in mind. Like today, I’m being directed to follow up on what I wrote about yesterday. But until I sit, and until my fingers hit the keyboard, I have no idea what will come about. And yesterday in particular. I’m not sure why I chose the subject. In a very real sense, I was channeling. And opening up to that amazing energy, I was being directed to help someone(s). I never know who, or what. And for a friend who wrote to me earlier this week on a very serious and painful note, I woke up in the middle of the night with so much streaming thought, I had to grab a pen and paper. I hope I’ll be able to decipher it later today to forward to you LOL …. read more

“The way to become One with the universe is to trust IT, as another, as you would another, and say ‘Let’s see what you’re going to do!'”
~ Alan Watts

As I sat as one with the universe this beautiful bright morning, I was reflecting on a post over on Alan Watts Wisdom, as well as a conversation I had with a friend and client regarding teaching empowerment – or more specifically, creating awareness around disempowerment, where it flows from and how to alter that attitude and orientation. read more
