“The next MVP of the Super Bowl is just as likely to have been a full-time grocery store bagger last year as a Heisman Trophy winner.”
~ Hunter S. Thompson
Was this morning’s wake up call a bit early for anyone else out there? Yet, here I am, sharing our very pretty sunrise this morning with persistence 😉 I love the little halo cloud above the sunbeams …
I was up late, enjoying an outstanding Superbowl game, and my congrats go out to the Seattle Seahawks ! Well done !!!
“Life’s Greatest tragedy consists of men and women who earnestly try and fail.”
~ Napoleon Hill
Happy Groundhog’s Day friends. It’s a cool and rainy morning here on St. Thomas. Good news for my friends up North, as that would mean Spring is on it’s way!! I hope the Groundhog in Punxsutawney get’s rained on too 🙂
As we continue on with thinking about our ability to create abundance, today we are given a very important list.
Napoleon Hill had the privilege of analyzing several thousand men & woman over a 25 year span. 98% of these people were classified as “failures”.
“I am not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb……I also know I’m not blonde! ”
~ Dolly Parton
It’s the start to another month, and a heartfelt Happy Birthday goes out to my father. Once again, mother nature shared her heart this morning through the fast moving clouds … I entitled this “Love Shining Down” <3
Yesterday, Napoleon Hill taught us that:
The Quality + Quantity + Spirit of Service we provide will determine the length of our employment.
“It is not your aptitude, but your attitude, that determines your altitude.”
~ Zig Ziglar
It always amazes me how quickly the sky changes moment by moment. When loaded the various shots onto my computer this morning, I was so surprised and happy to see this one. I see the “heart within a heart”. Do you? And it’s a perfect picture for what Napoleon Hill has to offer us today. It’s about sharing your heart, maybe within your employers heart, with your customer. Bad attitudes won’t get us very far in life, that’s for sure ….
“Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good idea.”
~ Jim Rohn
Yesterday was one of those days … Like I was on the gameshow – Let’s Make a Deal – and I kept picking all the right doors. It was as though the Universe truly answered my plee. And I could feel it from all of you out there too. I think the spirit of Walt Disney may have been visiting a few of us 😉
And I was amazed at how frequently the message of “Never Grow Up” showed up on Facebook. I hold a true conviction that there is a Universal Intelligence, separate from God Consciousness, that carries very important, inspirational messages. No wonder I felt the need to go off topic in yesterday’s post. The calling was there to share that message from UI <3
“Never grow up. The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else. This makes you unique.”
~ Walt Disney
It’s a bright and clear morning here, and very breezy, which wiped the sleep quickly from my eyes. I think this is one of the clearest we’ve had so far this month.
I’m going to take a day for pause here from our discussions of Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich”. I told you that the chapter on Organized Planning was a long and detailed one, and I thank you for hanging in there with me. And before we end the chapter, we still need to figure out how we go about getting that job we covet and also what it takes to keep moving up in that position, and how to take an inventory of ourselves. We’ll also explore 31 causes for failure, before Hill ends the chapter with a very moving section on the American Dream. Finishing up this chapter is going to take us the better part of this week, before we move on to the 7th principle of success: The Mastery of Procrastination. Who isn’t going to love that chapter ???
“It is not the lawyer who knows the most law, but the one who best prepares his case, who wins.”
~ Napoleon Hill
It’s a beautiful morning here on St. Thomas today. I enjoyed a great night’s sleep, and awoke early, dreaming that I was working in some type of large animal rehabilitation preserve. Maybe my subconscious is telling me something LOL …
Over the past few days, Napoleon Hill has been convincing us that if we are to become abundant, we will most likely need to sell our services. And to do so, we will need to learn how to be a good leader of people. We can’t do it all alone!
“You manage things. You lead people.”
~ Admiral Grace Hopper
Good morning friends, and happy Monday. I can’t help but notice the big “V” in the sunrise this morning. For me, it’s symbolizing “V” for “Victorious”. I have a feeling this is going to be a highly creative & successful week for many of us … It’s in the atmosphere … I just feel it <3
So last night, I watched a truly heart-warming movie on Netflix called “Camp”. Inspired by true stories from camps for abused and neglected children, the movie shares a moving tale of hope and unconditional love. The main storyline surrounds a hotshot investment banker, Ken, who volunteers as a camp counselor to impress a client, but finds himself paired with an angry, troubled 10-year-old camper named Eli.
