These are my favorite kind of mornings, when there are high cirrus clouds in the sky. I always feel as if my guardian angels are letting me know they are nearby. It was like this before my near-death experience in Big Sky Country, but even more so now ….
It got me thinking about a quote my yoga teacher, Matece, wrote after coming back from Bali …
What I’m bringing back is the most precious gift: an inner peace that is founded in a direct communion with Love and the newfound awareness of the many small ways I turn my back on Love each and every day. I resolve to stop turning away. I resolve to give my life to the Spirit of Love. That is all.
This is the perfect state we all long for … The feeling of oneness with our creator, at all times.
Why is it that we detach, exactly?
I was thinking about how I find it difficult to share my meditation space, with another, or even with villa guests above me on the deck. That it involves a feeling of retraction somehow, versus expansiveness.
And I had an interesting experience which I’d like to share, that arose from my post the other day on auras, when my one villa guest joined me for sunrise, in my line of vision on the pool deck.
Later that same afternoon, I had the opportunity to take him, his wife, and their two lovely daughters, down to the point of our peninsula for sundown. It was beautiful !!!
As we were walking along the path, he starts talking with his daughter about the penial gland, and the third eye. And he says, I’m sure Victoria knows about that ?!? “Sure!!” I say. “It’s the seat of intuition. It’s how you know what your twin sister is going to say before she says it. It’s color is magenta, when you close your eyes, and softly focus on a point between your eyebrows. And your ability to use it can be developed …. I’ve had some training in it myself …. ”
To which he begins to tell me about a book he is reading from 1923 by Vera Stanley called “Finding the Third Eye.” And then asks if I’ve ever heard of an invention called Kilner glasses or goggles for being able to see auras.
I literally got chills. I thought, “Has he been reading my blog???” Was I intuiting from him that morning, as he walked out onto the deck, and sent to him my aura with lovingkindness ?? It was not until I sat down at my computer that morning, that I “decided” to write about auras.
Of course, I immediately went and downloaded the book, which will become my next reading and sharing with you all here. It’s available for free as an audio book via YouTube by Josh Reeves, which is how my guest has been reading it ….
It made me think of a documentary I saw on Edgar Cayce (1877-1945), who has been called the “sleeping prophet,” the “father of holistic medicine,” and the most documented psychic of the 20th century. Cayce gave psychic “readings” to thousands of seekers, including many presidents, while in an unconscious state, diagnosing illnesses and revealing lives lived in the past and prophecies yet to come. He was a devote Christian ….
It lead me to his website – EdgarCayce.org – which contains TONS more information on developing intuition, which will keep me busy in my studies for many months to come !!
My meditation teacher told me that I have the skill, and that I should learn to develop it. She offered to begin working with me, years ago, and then she moved on ….
I know a good friend of mine is giggling right now, as I haven’t actively pursued this any more, except for some private studies, simply because I don’t need to appear “any weirder than I already am” (says my ego) ….
I once said to this friend “The only way to wholeness is to recognize all that is within you, and to share those gifts” (my thoughts on her ability to see dead people!).
Well, my dear friend, I take this as a sign, that I am to continue skillfully developing my intuition. Because somehow, I know that like you, it will lead me further along on the path of being able to “stay connected with spirit” longer, while leading my everyday life.
