I’m waking up late this morning.
(Not surprised to find a cloudy day.)
And I woke up thinking …
Every person ‘under the sun’ called me yesterday…
I was on the phone from 5PM to 1:30AM …
(Where did that saying come from ?!?!)
(Why not ‘under the moon’??)
(Interesting, that the phrase came from the Bible).
And I feel completely discharged. Exhausted.
(Just like my cell phone battery !!!)
It got me to thinking about the Universal Energy Exchange.
(There’s alot of information out there!)
What came up as the common thread ….?
The Reiki Code of Ethics …
Just for today, I will not anger.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will be grateful for all my blessings.
Just for today, I will work with honesty and integrity.
Just for today, I will be kind to all living beings.
And just for today, if the Universe calls on me again, I will be a giving friend.
Because I’ve learned what it takes to recharge myself.

And by the way, it is said of the phrase “under the sun” …
“It wends its doleful way through the book of Eccl and has become common parlance in our own skeptical age. The phrase itself seems to signify simply ‘on this earth’ and perhaps underscores the frequently nonreligious emphasis of the author of Eccl who both describes the apparent futility of life and yet lives by faith in it.”
