It’s April! And yesterday, the astrologers posted their summaries of what the month would hold. I’d like to say that it’s all a joke, because I thought the heavy duty changes were behind us with the Spring Equinox, solar eclipse and the dissolution of Uranus square Pluto ….
Well, I guess not …
Beginning on Saturday, we have a full moon. This full moon also starts the Buddhist New Year, Therevadin, the Hindu holiday of Hanuman Jayanti, the Jewish holiday of Passover and the Christian holiday of Easter.
“Birth, death, resurrection, reception, renewal, nirvana, freedom from bondage and leaving the narrow places of our lives for the wide open spaces of freedom are the themes of the weekend for many. Whether you belong to any of these religions or not, holiday time quite often tends to stir many a family issue, many a past pain and many a feeling of belonging and not being sure if one wants to belong and to whom.”
I feel my root chakra vibrating!

This Saturday, April 4th will bring us a total lunar eclipse at 5:00 AM EST with the full moon peaking at 5:05 AM EST. Eclipse seasons, such as this, act as portals of rapid growth and healing. Portals that we enter into unknowingly, innocently or altogether unwillingly, but enter into we must. Eclipses aren’t fair, they are revealing. Eclipses aren’t kind, they are honest. Eclipses aren’t subtle, they slap you across the face and in their very best Cher impersonation exclaim, “Snap out of it!” Especially this one.”
In both full astrological reports I read for the month of April, we are being asked to deeply consider our role in the Universe, on this Earth, as vibrational beings.
Sarah Varcas over on MysticMamma writes:
A Lunar Eclipse in Libra on 4th April bids us to reflect rather than respond. It highlights instinctive behaviors born of old habits and past experience.
The discomfort of not quite knowing where we’re headed at the moment, the blank slate of possibility or a sense of restlessness that demands a response, can all seduce us into action now, regretted further down the line.
Temperance is needed, patience, and a willingness to allow life its own timing. This is a time for deep listening not rash decisions. A time to sit in the silence and allow inner wisdom to bubble to the surface, for it knows all that we need and is the most compassionate arbiter of our life.
This new cycle, so fresh in its infancy, will require a deep and abiding relationship with our inner sage and this eclipse is our first opportunity to demonstrate just how committed we are to our side of the bargain!”
The new moon mid month reiterates the importance of knowing the ‘key’ in which the song of our life is played and the ability to recognize when something or someone is in tune with it. We can know this by just the kind of deep listening required at the lunar eclipse.
This new cycle of becoming requires deep anchoring into the earth. The ability to know what and who will assist us in this process is vital. Identifying those places, circumstances and people who will support us to ‘keep it real’ rather than live a spiritual lie, has never been more important than it is now.
I’m up at bat. My feet are solidly rooted in the earth, in trust. I’m ready to take my stance, eyes wide open … In deep reflection with my life’s timeline and be brutally honest in compassionate awareness as the balls are pitched. No more hiding from myself. I’m committed. I’m going to hit it out of the park. Clear the bases. Step into my authentic self.
How about you? Are you ready? Take some practice swings … ❤
