“Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”
~ Harriet Stowe

Good morning friends! I’m surprised to find such a bright & clear morning here today … I did not enjoy a restful night’s sleep, as we had a very windy rain shower pass through sometime in the early hours this morning. And we must have a mouse in the house, as the cats were on the prowl the entire night.

So when my alarm went off at 6AM, I lay my head back down, and drifted off into a dream. I almost missed my favorite time of day! After getting this shot, I went and lay back down, to recapture what I was dreaming about.

So I’ll hold off on the 4th and controversial Yama until after the holiday … Brahmacharya.

Undoubtedly, the words of my dream were meant to be shared instead

All I can recall about the dream was that I was in the dining room of my best friend’s and neighbor’s house from high school. We spent many a good night there, playing cards and being teenagers.

Cammy, Calley and I were there, and I had just put on my coat to go home. And I quoted to Calley a quote by Napoleon Hill:

“Most great people have achieved their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.”

I have no idea what issues Calley was facing, but I spoke the words to both of us.

With the full moon of November, many of us will be reviewing our year: our finances, goals, hopes and dreams. What went well, and what didn’t go so well.

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”

And I love this additional thought by Hill, who interviewed some of the most successful men of all time:

“Those who succeed in an outstanding way seldom do so before the age of 40. More often, they do not strike their real pace until they are well beyond the age of 50.”

Dear friends: Don’t give up on your dreams.

“If you give up before your goal has been reached, you are a “quitter.”

A QUITTER NEVER WINS AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS.

Lift this sentence out, write it on a piece of paper in letters an inch high, and place it where you will see it every night before you go to sleep, and every morning before you go to work”

May these words of Napoleon Hill live in our hearts, as we give ourselves time to reflect in the coming weeks.

I wish you a blessed Wednesday, as many of us will be traveling & preparing for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Have a safe and peaceful one.
